Veterans' Agent

The Rockport Veterans’ Agent is a part-time position appointed by the Rockport Board of Selectmen to represent the interests of Veterans, and their families in the community.

The Veterans' Agent reports to the Massachusetts Department of Veterans' Services (DVS). DVS Website The Mass DVS has the responsibility to insure that the Massachusetts veteran community has appopriate representation within the Federal Veterans Administration system.VA Website

The functions of the Veterans' Agent include:

  • Assisting and providing information on compensation and other benefits available through the VA program.
  • Administer the DVS needs-based program of veterans assistance.
